With a passion for aromatic whites, Tim spent several years winemaking in South Australia’s Clare and Eden Valleys and in the Northern Rhône. Upon joining the Cloudy Bay team in 2005, Tim is responsible for crafting Cloudy Bay’s two very distinct sauvignon blanc styles along with pinot gris and gewürztraminer. And it must be said that he has also become a bit fanatical about sparkling wine - perfect for continuing the success of our very own Pelorus.
Tim lives in Marlborough with his wife Amy and canine friend Buster; they excitedly await the arrival of their twins. When not exploring fly-fishing haunts in New Zealand’s South Island, Tim enjoys hunting wild game, tramping in the Richmond Ranges and mountain biking. Indoors, Tim loves to cook and he is often called on for food and wine-matching advice.
